But what about.......

This site is a colaboration of efforts between individuals interested in Special Warfare in theory and practice. The editor is a civilian whose military experience is limited to 2 years of Army ROTC (hooah!) in college. I have no affiliation with any unit I write about other than the odd friend I've picked up here and there since I started the page. I just like to write and find thes units fascinating and a good way to spend money and manpower in the military. SpecWarNet is an outgrowth of the oldest continuoisly running/updated web page reguarding Special Forces, the *Unofficial* Special Warfare Page, which I started in early December of 1995. All information is learned either through publically available books or the teaming masses that send me corrections/disinformation. In some cases information that I've found publically but deem as dangerous for these units OPSEC is not posted, nor will I send details when asked.

Currently there are hree people writing material for the page, one of which wishes to remain nameless, but used to run a popular SAS/SBS page. The other is Dominique Sumner, who provides pages on European and US units and hops to add more info on American Police SWAT/ERT units.

Read the info, learn from it, and have a good time. The pages are copywritten, etc to SpecWarNet and their respective writers and I don't mind people using the text to learn from but DO NOT rip it off and claim it as your own work.

Technical stuff of sorts:
I write these pages by hand using a good text/HTML editor from Allaire named Homesite 4.01. They are written mainly around 800x600 resolution and version 4 browsers but I try and make my code work just as well in 640x480 and older browsers, for those of you stuck on older systems or just refusing to get fragged into the march of technology. I shy away from java and write my code as tight as possible to try and somewhat aleviate long downloads. Some of the pages, however, need to be long :)

I make no guarentees about my spelling. Spell checkers ruined my in-head spell checker. :)

Oh yeah, I play Quake too if anyone wants to DM :)
